  The Pilgrims’ landing on Plymouth Rock is a significant event in American history. However, some parts of the event are myths. This passage will explain the history of the event, along with the myth. All the Pilgrims wanted was a free place to practice their religion. The Pilgrims were members of the Church of England. Many people, however, believed the Church of England was corrupt and went to Holland. They were free to practice their religion there, but they felt Holland was too crowded. So, on September 6, 1620, they boarded a ship called the Mayflower. The Pilgrims explored places until they found the place just right for them—Plymouth Harbor. Some Pilgrims, however, got sick and even died due to a lack of vitamin C, the bad winter, and seasickness. Since the Wampanoags were the only people in the land, the Pilgrims had to depend on them. Summer and winter holidays are both very fun, but only one can be the best. I would like to present my views on which vacation is better: summer or winter. Firstly, winter holidays are good because people can spend time with their loved ones. Because people are not so wrapped up in other things, it creates space to stay close to family. Another reason winters are good is that when it snows, there are fun activities such as making snowmen and snow angels. However, a bad part about winter is that it has short days and less sunshine to go out and play, so most activities are indoors.   25 November 2025 Our school is a really wacky place. But one of the weirdest things that ever happened was when my lunch started talking—magically! In this story, I will fill you in on exactly what happened when my lunch began talking. It all started during lunch period (well, obviously). I pulled out my favourite and most recent lunchbox, which is purple. It’s basically a souvenir to me nowadays. Somehow, when I took my very first bite of the mac and cheese my mom made, the lunchbox suddenly grew eyes, a nose, and a mouth. In this passage, I will present my views on whether watching a film based on a book is better than reading the book itself. First, reading the book can help improve children's reading skills and vocabulary because books can be descriptive and use words that some people don't know about. Next, the book can help with creative imagination. However, books tend to take longer to read and understand, depending on children's reading skills and interest in the story. A child's interest in reading a book depends on the author's style of writing.   Have you ever been on a maglev train or worked in a scrapyard and wondered "How do these things work?" I will write about how maglev and scrap magnets get into action. The maglev trains and scrap magnets work by using electromagnets . The maglev train has U-shaped undercarriage which gets attracted by the track due to magnetism, so the train moves along the rails. There are guidance magnets in the train which include magnetic repulsion; they help direct the train to either left or right, or stop the train from crossing the tracks and falling down. The driver is not the only one driving the train! In fact , there are levitation magnets which have computers controlling them in order to slow down the train, keep it on the track, and move the train. In a scrapyard, there will be a crane with the magnet which picks up car scraps. It also has an iron disc which is armored with an electric coil to pick up the scraps.
