Our journey to the Evergreen State - Seattle
Dear Readers (3 to 5 grade explorers)
As you know, I have written a lot of blogs in India. But I have recently relocated to Seattle. I'll tell you how I got here.
Me and my parents were packing, our church friends, Minu and Thiyagu came and helped us load our luggage into a cab and we said a little prayer. We then got into the cab and asked him to take us to Chennai airport.
My mom had a lot of "uncertainties" running through her mind, but that didn't stop me and me from playing rock paper scissors, then she got back to pondering about her "uncertainties". We reached the airport and we saw other families who had come to wish us bye. I discovered I had a sister but she was not born from my parents, she is my 3-year-old cousin, Sara. Patty gave me two bananas which I ate. We said bye to our other families and headed to the lounge.
On the way to the lounge, my mom found she had lost her purse. It had the credit cards in it which MEANT WE COULDN'T GO INSIDE! Luckily my dad used another card. We got inside and found a comfortable place to sit. Me and my mom refreshed with some snacks and drinks. After some time, we got inside a sitting area and waited for a long time because economy passengers were ushered in last. When it was time for us to go, we walked over a bridge and got in the flight. We listened to an announcement and the plane took off! IT WAS EPIC!!! You should have been there!
But anyways, back to the story. We switched seats until I got the edge seat on the left. I watched a movie called Cars. I was halfway in the movie when the dinner came. There was fried rice, curd, vegetable and paneer curry, mango cake, (for dessert), and water. After we ate I asked for a blanket and my mom told the flight assistant to bring one. My mom covered me with the blank and I went to sleep.
In the morning, when we woke up, my mom told me it was time to offboard the flight and to pick up all our luggage. My mom and I left ahead of my dad with all our luggage and then I realized I had left my stuffed dog "Tyke" and I went running to my dad asking him for my stuffed dog, Tyke. My dad said he'd get it from 6 seats away, but when he went he couldn't find it! We asked the flight managers but they couldn't find it too! I was a little sad but not until we got down… My mom had Tyke! I was so relieved.
We got on an airport bus that took us to the Delhi airport. We got our things checked and we got on the airplane. It was a really long flight. We slept, ate played some games, etc. It was the next day at the airport when I woke up early. My parents were still sleeping, and I ate a veg wrap. After some time I woke my parents up, and we got breakfast. It was a soggy egg, bread, and butter, and also some yogurt. But when I ate the soggy egg at the first bite, I felt like vomiting! My mom helped me go to the restroom and I vomited in the toilet! I thought my mom would be angry, but she was not and said it was okay. I ate the bread and butter alone and also the yogurt.
We did the same thing that we did on day one, and in the morning, when we got up we spent some time on the screen till the plane landed. We toured the San Fransisco airport and got into the next flight to Seattle, which was short. We ate peanut butter pretzels and some juice. We looked out the window till we got down the flight in the Seattle airport. We checked for our luggage but it was on another flight. I watched some phone and we headed to the Starbucks café. I ate a cherry Danish and slept for some time . In the evening, we got the luggage, loaded it in a cab, and headed to a hotel called Residence Inn.
Such a long travel journey was the first of its kind in my life and I enjoyed it. Well, that's all for today. Bye, guys!
